In this article, we will outline how to search and filter within your Player panel — a quick plain-text search, and a full filter builder for more advanced, saveable queries.
Quick search
Click the Search button in the Player panel
Type your search in the newly appeared search bar
Press Enter to search
If any Players and Groups match your search term, you will see a filtered selection of results.
Please Note
Matching Players are automatically selected (ticked) within your Groups tree once your search or query runs — you don't need to manually select them afterwards (but you may want to deselect any unwanted results).
Building an advanced filter
Click the sliders icon beside the Search field
Select Create query
Give your filter a Filter name
Click + Add condition and choose from:
location — filter by city and radius
Tags — filter by existing tags
Player attribute — filter by custom attributes (e.g. Search on Serial Number, Version, or Plan, with an Operator and Value)
audience — filter by audience demographics
For a location-based condition, click Open worldmap to select a point visually, or enter Latitude, Longitude, and Radius (Km) manually
Use the Or dropdown beneath each condition to control how it combines with the next
Click + Add condition to add further conditions to the same filter
Top Tip
Combine multiple condition types in one filter — for example, a Player attribute condition alongside a Tags condition — to narrow your results with real precision.
Once you're happy with your filter, click Save settings
Using and editing Saved filters
Click the search bar, and a drop-down list will appear containing all of your saved queries
Clicking on any saved query from the drop-down will immediately select all media players and groups that match the query
At any time (whilst you have a search result entered or if you have clicked on an existing query) you can click on the Slides button next to the search bar. Upon doing so, an Edit and Remove option will appear in addition to the initial Create Query option you saw earlier in this article.
Click Edit to modify your query, or click Remove to delete the saved query.
Please Note
This filter builder and Saved filters functionality is only available within the Groups and Players panel — it is not currently available in the Content or Playlist panels.
You can also see a full list of existing search queries by clicking on the Slider and then heading to the Saved Filters tab. You can recall these by pressing Apply or Edit existing entries by clicking the relevant buttons next to the filter conditions.
Summary
With a quick autocomplete search for fast lookups, and a full filter builder supporting Player attributes, location, Tags, and audience data — all saveable and editable at any time — you're able to build precise, reusable searches across your Groups and Players panel.
