This FAQ explains how to setup your Axis IP camera so that it produces an RTSP live stream which you can play on Android and Windows OS devices (except Minix Android)
The following procedure is not a supported QL feature and is provided without support, or any expressed, or implied, guarantee that it will solve your specific use case.
1. Login to your Axis camera web interface.
By default, Axis cameras produce an RTSP stream, but this stream will require authentication, which is a problem in our case. You don't need to remove the authentication; you just need to allow the RTSP stream to be reached by guests.
2. Navigate to System options > Advanced > Plain Config > Network > Select group > Network RTSP > Check the Allow the anonymous viewers.
3. Then you need to restart the camera, go to System Options > Maintenance > Restart.
4. Once the camera is restarted, you should be able to reach the RTSP stream. By default, on a recent Axis camera.
The RTSP URL looks like rtsp://IP ADDRESS/axis-media/media.amp
5. Replace IP ADDRESS by the actual IP address of your camera.
6. Use VLC software to test the stream.
If VLC opens the RTSP URL it will work in Navori by adding the URL as a video stream. If it doesn’t work through VLC it could be related to the network, player, and camera needing to be on the same network. Also, it may be an issue with the firewall, stop the firewall and test again.
