How to setup a static IP setting on the Stix 3700

IMPORTANT!

Configuring these settings yourself could result in a loss of connectivity to the device! Therefore should you be manually assigning a network configuration to the device, please make certain that you are doing so in a correct manner and in consultation with your network administrator. Failure to set static IP settings properly for your environment will result in a loss of network connectivity with your player.

Step 1:

Connect an input device such as keyboard and or mouse to the Stix 3700. There is a USB port located on the side of the device between the network card adapter and the WIFI antenna port.

Step 2:

If your player is running the Navori Engine right click on the mouse button and select “Yes” under “Do you want to exit Navori Engine”. If your Stix 3700 device is not running the Navori Engine, then move to step 3.

Step 3:

Select the cog icon from the bottom of the screen.

If you do not see this screen, perhaps you see the app screen in which case the cog is still found in this list as per the image below:

Step 4:

Select Network & Internet Settings menu item:

Step 5:

Select the IP settings menu item:

Step 6:

Select the Static menu option: (Note: you can navigate easily with keyboard arrows or mouse)

Step 7:

Enter IP address in the field and select next or press enter:

Step 8:

Enter IP network gateway in the field and select next or press enter:

Step 9:

Enter the subnet value as a prefix in the field and select next or press enter (hint – a 255.255.255.0 subnet is referred to as a 24 prefix subnet, a 255.255.0.0 subnet is referred to as a 16 prefix subnet:

Step 10 and 11:

Enter the desired DNS 1in the field and select next or press enter, then repeat for DNS 2:

Once you have completed this process, you will get a “Saved Successfully” Message.
