IMPORTANT!
If your Stix 3700 is displaying a white circle and failing to load Android OS and a hard reboot is the only way to resolve it. Please firmware flash your Stix 3700 to the latest firmware.
Applying the new firmware on Stix 3700 is required to solve issues related to html content in 4K players.
Note: New firmware will flash your hardware, you will need to reactivate your Navori software once the new firmware file has been successfully loaded.
METHOD 1. USING USB DRIVE
Cable Requirements and Hardware requirements:
(ONLY USB 3.0 FLASH DRIVES WILL BE COMPATIBLE)
USB 3.0 Flash drive with at least 8GB capacity, formatted FAT32.
USB-C power adapter which is provided in the Stix 3700 box
uDisk firmware files. Download
Paper clip
Step 1: PREPARE USB DRIVE
Format the flash drive with FAT32 format.
Unzip the uDisk firmware files.
Copy the following files to the root folder of the flash drive
factory_update_param.aml
update-auto4k-settings-20230622 (DO NOT UNZIP THIS FILE)
STEP 2: Flashing the Stix 3700 using the UDISK Flash Drive
First you need to check your actual firmware version. For that you can navigate to your Stick settings - “Device Preferences” - “About" and then look at your Builder Number. It should have a format like this: PPR1.180610.011.20230301. Look at your 4 last digit (the month and the date) if it is lower than 0301 you can follow these steps:
Plug the USB flash drive in your Stix 3700.
Then hold and press the RESET button on the Stix hardware with a paper clip until your device shows the following image
Once this process has been completed, please wait for Navori Conductor to be opened (as couple of seconds are required to initialize the Stix 3700).
If it is greater than 0301, you can follow these steps:
Plug the USB flash drive in your Stix 3700.
Then hold and press the RESET button on the Stix hardware with a paper. At 18 seconds, the white circle disappears, and 1~2 seconds later, the white circle appears again. At this time, the reset button can be released, This screen change is very important. During this process, there is no progress bar, only white circle, just wait for it to finish automatically, stix will reboot automatically after the upgrade is completed.
Method 2. USING A FW FLASHING SOFTWARE
Cable Requirements and Hardware requirements:
(DO NOT USE A USB-HUB FOR THIS PROCESS The device must be directly plugged into the pc)
Windows Computer
USB-C power adapter which is provided in the Stix 3700 box
USB to Micro USB Data Cable
4. Paper clip (used to press the reset button on the stix)
Step 1: Download and Install firmware flash tool
Install the USB Burning software onto your PC – Filename: setup_v2.1.7.0.exe
Launch the USB Burning application
Select FILE and IMPORT IMAGE : aml_upgrade_package-WEBVIEW109-20230613.zip
Leave the application open and move to Step 2
Step 2: Connect your Stix 3700 to your Windows computer
Note: These steps are very specific and required in the following order.
Plug the USB side of your data cable into your computer and insert the Micro USB end to your Stix 3700.
Plug the power adapter of the USB-C cable into a power supply and connect the USB-C end into the Stix 3700
Then hold and press the RESET button on the Stix hardware with a paper clip until your device is detected in the USB burning software.
4. Once detected press the START button
5. Wait for the progress bar to show 100% Burning Successfully. Click stop and remove the hardware.
Step 3: Connect your Stix 3700 to a display via HDMI and power it up.
Step 4: (optional if you are installing a certificate)
You will see a new App named Settings (green icon) > Navigate to Security and Location to install your certificate.
