Applying the New Firmware on Stix 3800 - Step-by-Step Guide

### Step 1: Prepare the USB Drive

1. **Format the USB Drive:**

- Use the FAT32 format to prepare the USB drive.

2. **Download the Firmware:**

- Obtain the firmware from the following link: Download Firmware

3. **Copy Files:**

- Copy Zip. files to the root directory of your USB drive.

### Step 2: Set Up the Stix 3800

1. **Connect Stix 3800:**

- Use a POE ethernet cable to connect to the WAN port on the Stix 3800.

- Connect a monitor or display via an HDMI cable.

2. **Select HDMI Source:**

- On your monitor or display, select the HDMI source to view the Stix 3800 interface.

### Step 3: Perform the Firmware Upgrade

1. **Insert USB Drive:**

- Plug the prepared USB drive into the USB port of the Stix 3800.

2. **Connect a Mouse:**

- Attach a USB mouse to the Stix 3800.

3. **Open the Firmware Update Menu:**

- On the home screen, select the **Menu** button.

- Navigate to the **Update** icon and click to open.

4. **Select Firmware Path:**

- Click on **Select** to choose the firmware from your USB drive.

5. **Begin the Update:**

- Click **Update** to start the firmware installation process.

6. **Confirm Update:**

- When prompted, confirm the update by clicking **Apply update from USB**.
