Each group (both parent groups and subgroups) has its own distinct Content Libraries to which you can add content to. This content is then dragged into playlists to then be scheduled to your media players via the scheduling grid.
Click the + Import button, then select your desired content type from the drop-down
The content types that can be added are as follows:
Media — Upload images and video files directly from your computer into the Content Library, for use in Playlists or Templates.
Top Tip
You can also drag and drop media (images and videos) directly from Windows Explorer directly into your Content Library in Qompose. Alternatively, right-click an image/video locally from your PC and click copy, then open your Content Library in Qompose and press CTRL + V to paste media directly from your clipboard.
URL — Add a live webpage as a content asset, rendering the page itself on-screen rather than a static capture of it.
Video stream — Add a live IPTV, RTSP, or UDP stream by URL. Once entered, the stream can be previewed live directly within the asset's properties before saving — confirmed working with
.m3u8(HLS) specifically; other stream formats haven't been confirmed to preview the same way.Template — A layout built in the Template Designer, combining zones, media, and data feed bindings into a single reusable design.
HTML — A native HTML asset type, edited directly in-browser via a CodePen-style split-pane editor with live, sandboxed preview. This replaces the old requirement to zip HTML packages before upload.
HTML ZIP — The older method of publishing HTML content: a zipped package of HTML/CSS/JS files uploaded as a single asset. This still exists alongside the new HTML type, for content that hasn't been migrated to the native editor.
Advertising — this is a placeholder asset that allows you to schedule DOOH content from platforms such as Hivestack and Vistar.
Once your content has been uploaded, it will appear in your Content Library and can then be dragged into your Playlists. See this article for guidance on building out your playlists.
