Getting to know the Advertising Module

Written by Giuseppe

Qompose's Advertising Module is a dedicated application on your QL Server that lets you manage and deliver revenue-generating ad campaigns across your digital signage network. In this article, we'll take you on a tour of this comprehensive new feature.

Please Note

Access to the Advertising Module must be enabled on your user account for you to see the Advertising button.

Accessing the Advertising Module

  • From your Manager, click Advertising in the top navigation bar

  • To return to your Manager at any time, click Back to manager in the top right corner

Once inside the Advertising Module, you'll find five tabs running along the top: Dashboard, Campaigns, Reports, Library and History.

Dashboard

Your Dashboard is a live overview of your advertising inventory across available, ongoing, and booked slots.

Overview stats

At the top, you'll find summary cards for Total, Active, Booked, Draft, Completed and Paused campaigns.

Please Note

These figures reflect only the Groups and Players currently selected in the Player panel on the left-hand side (in the Players and Groups panel).

Choosing your reporting period

  • Use the Today, This week, This month or Custom tabs to set the period reflected across your Dashboard

Inventory

  • Campaign status — a donut chart breaking your campaigns down by status, alongside your Total campaigns, Draft and Completed counts

  • Screen inventory — your total number of Players available for advertising, along with how many are currently Online, Offline, or have Ads disabled

  • Total campaign revenue — your Earned and Forecast revenue figures in your account currency

Availability

  • Airtime — a split showing your available vs. booked airtime as a percentage, alongside Earned and Forecast figures

  • Distribution — a bar chart showing how your inventory is distributed across the hours of the day. Use the Slot and audience toggle to switch between the two views

Campaigns

The Campaigns tab gives you a single, consolidated view of every campaign on your Network.

  • The same status summary cards as your Dashboard (Total, Active, Booked, Draft, Completed, Paused) sit at the top

  • Use the filter row — Campaign name, Brand, Supplier, and a From/To date range — to narrow the list down

  • The results table shows Name, Status, Date, Players, Goal, % of completion, Revenue and Actions, with each column sortable

Top Tip

In the Actions column of the table displayed, when hovering over a campaign, you will see either a Details or an Edit button appear, depending on the current status of that campaign. Clicking this will open the chosen Campaign's full detail view, including delivery progress, pacing, and creative-level performance.

Reports

The Reports tab is where you view and generate performance reports for your campaigns.

  • Use the filter row — Campaign name, Brand, Supplier, and a From/To date range — to narrow which campaigns are listed

  • Click Export CSV to download your current filtered results

  • The results table shows Name, Status, Date, Goal, Total views, Total plays, Target players, Revenue and Actions

Library

The Library tab is your dedicated media workspace for the Advertising Module, separate from your main Content Library.

  • Media & Templates — your media assets available for use in campaigns

  • Folder — organise your media into folders

  • Datafeed — access Data Feeds created across your server to incorporate into Campaigns

  • Smart Folders and Trash — work the same way as in your main Content Library

Use + Import to upload new content, and Sort to reorder your library view.

History

The History tab tracks all actions and changes across your advertising campaigns.

  • Use the filter row — Campaign name, Actions, Users, and a From/To date range — to narrow the log

  • Click Export CSV to download your current filtered results

  • The results table shows Date, Campaign name, User, Action, Description, and Details, giving you a full audit trail of who changed what, and when
